battery operated and can pump, filter, and purify up to 35 gallons on a single charge. Recharge in approximately 2 hours.

Stream FAQs

The only consumable is the carbon block cartridge. They're rated for 1000 gallons of city water or 6 months.

We have ours sourced in the US with the best formulation we know, which you can order here, or they're a standard size and available at major retailers.

It has a rechargeable Lithium battery. It takes about 2 hours to recharge.

They each take about 2 hours to recharge.

The Scout can be rinsed and reused. You should only need to replace the Scout if there is damage or rinsing no longer seems to work.

The same method can be applied to the Guide prefilter.

*You cannot rinse the carbon block cartridge for reuse.

We recommend keeping the Stream charged, or at least charging it every month or two. It can also stay plugged in. The charger automatically turns itself off.

To extend the life of your carbon block cartridge between uses, we recommend opening the housing and letting the carbon block cartridge completely dry out.

Minor tweaks needed

Great concept, needs a little tweaking in design. In practice, the rubber o-ring seal on the inlet hose easily falls off and gets pinched in the quick connect assembly. The seal falling off or getting distorted causes an air leak which prevents priming and causes inefficient pumping when primed. Slightly smaller o-rings here, backup o-rings and packets of food grade lubricant would help here.

The need to remove the main carbon block filter housing to empty it for storage is awkward - holding the unit upside down and cranking hard to unscrew. I’m not sure how to resolve this.

On the positive side, I appreciate the choice of LiFePO4 and the external charger. This allows direct (safe) connection to a 12V battery as a backup power source. You might consider replacing the barrel connector with an Anderson PowerPole as many prepper types use these. I cut the charger output and inserted a set of PowerPoles to allow this.

This product is amazing. Easy to maintain and works flawlessly every time. When you are in the middle of the back country and need fresh water, this is the system you can rely on.

Above and Beyond

I have had my GuzzleH2O Stream for about four years now, and it worked flawlessly until recently. While filtering water, the clean water port broke, causing water to fill up inside the unit and eventually leading to pump failure. GuzzleH2O's customer service was exceptional; they promptly sent me a new pump, and I was able to service the Stream myself. GuzzleH2O customer service went above and beyond. Thank you!

Incredible concept

Extremely well built. Excellent attention to details. Bought for emergency use, so I haven't tested it yet. Would love to know how it works with the Argonide NanoCeram® PAC Filter which can remove endotoxins and bunch of other bad things.
